Research Area(s)

Translational research
Research Field Development of paradigm-shift treatment for acute stroke is our research goal. For this purpose, we are interested in basic research to generate new hypothesis on the acute stroke mechanism, translational research and clinical research.
Exploring mechanisms of cerebral ischemia, particularly in relation to vascular response, is our major basic and translational research goal. We also focus on translational and clinical research on the thrombosis and thrombolysis.
Diseases Stroke
Possible Collaboration Vascular biology, any area that can be applied for acute stroke treatment

Research Methods

Rodent stroke model: nylon thread-induced middle cerebral artery occlusion, photothrombotic model, chronic cerebral hypoperfusion model, Rodent carotid artery thrombosis and thrombolysis assessment model, In vitro platelet aggregation assay, Zymography, Protein works: immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, western blot, ELISA, Molecular biology: cell culture, RT-PCR
